About RTFF

At the River Town Film Festival we explore community through independent films. Each of our films must encourage conversation and enhance our understanding of community.

At a time when our country is so deeply divided, it’s a healing exercise to focus on discovering community in places where we least expect it. It is our hope that we will help start a larger conversation about how we are all part of a global community of people, and we need to be kind to one another. Our past films found community in surprising ways: through human trafficking, in the foster system, and even at the North Pole.

The festival will span three days: Friday, September 7  through Sunday, September 9. The iconic classic rock band THE ORCHESTRA Starring ELO Former Members will close out the festival with a rock concert.

The event will take place at the Red Mill, a historical landmark that dates back to 1810 and is now home to a museum village. Clinton is a small town that embraces a strong community spirit, and is a meeting point between cosmopolitan East Coast culture, artists, multi-generational farms and salt of the earth people.
